LOL - Me too. I was reading, and reading, and watching, and reading... then I also started to think, "How much is new resin?"

Great work David! You are the consummate master of DIY.

Now the typing and picture taking took longer than the the DI resin regenerate. If I did not have to take a picture of everything I did then I would have about 45 minutes in the whole process.
DI resin is $38.00 not including shipping. I know time is money but I do this on my off time. How much money would be is lost in front of the TV, if my off time is money? Really our time spent on our hobby is not an issue; this is why our hobbies are not our work, with the exception of those who work in the LFS.
From the idea that I am not sending 3 lbs of plastic resin to the land fill, every month, then I am doing a good thing. The chemicals that I am using become salt water, if I remember my high school chemistry correctly.
$38.00 is enough resin to last me roughly 2 years now. Because our water has such a high TDS and TDS Creep I was changing my canistors every month. $38.00 of resin is enough for two refills, in a years time I would have spent $228.00. Now I spend about $16.00 and about an hour once a month.
Now, I am going out to my back yard to regen more resin because someone is giving me a huge skimmer to recharge his resin. I do not know what I am going to do with it, but it is mine.

This may take you longer, your canister is smaller than mine.

It's not the size of the canister than matters...

How many gallons do you get out of your resin before you have to recharge it?
